Jim Grenon

As the principal investor and founder in TOM Capital, he provides leadership to the TOM team. Jim has a wide variety of experience in both operations and structuring. He has had significant involvement in many financial success stories, including Canadian Natural Resources Limited, Foremost Income Fund, and the US Properties Group.

Bevan May

Lead Director ______

Bevan is an executive with direct operational experience in engineering, sales and marketing, finance, production, and operations. Bevan has led a number of acquisitions and has experience in new product launches, the establishment of new and re-organization of existing manufacturing operations and leading major strategic organic growth initiatives from within operating businesses.

Before joining TOM Capital, Bevan had significant experience through the span of small business and Fortune 100 environments. He has experience in Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Utility, and Technology industries. Bevan’s strong sales and marketing background helped create businesses that significantly outperformed their industry peers. Bevan has an engineering degree and an MBA.

Bernard Grenon

Bernie is heavily involved in advising TOM Capital investee entities on real estate related matters, and has extensive experience in residential and commercial property development and management. He has managed the acquisition, divestiture and financing of in excess of $1,000,000,000 of real estate and 5,000,000 square feet of retail space. His expertise includes extensive experience in retail leasing having negotiated leases with major retail players such as Walmart, Target, Kroger and Best Buy. Bernie has also been extensively involved in many residential lot development projects and has assisted with the acquisition, financing and development of in excess of 2,000 acres of land.

Prior to joining TOM Capital, Bernie spent over 10 years with a very entrepreneurial real estate investment and development company located in Dallas, Texas. Before his time in Dallas Bernie practiced corporate commercial law with a prominent law firm in Edmonton.

Bernie holds a Law Degree and a Masters in City Planning.

John Paul Grenon

J.P. Grenon graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He worked for Chevron in Production Operations for 1 year, then Aquitaine, Canterra and Husky through a series of acquisitions for 29 years, working various engineering positions including drilling, well completion and production operations. He then moved into management including responsibility for the Ram River gas plant and ultimately as General Manager for a regional business unit.

Tony Grenon

A founding principal of TOM Capital in 1995, Tony works with energy, manufacturing, property, finance, technology and other ventures. Tony’s role involves the identification, analysis, and closing of acquisitions & divestitures. Where TOM holds a significant investment, Tony provides support for management and often acts as director or senior management committee member.

Prior to TOM Capital, Tony was a partner with the Calgary office of a leading law firm, where he practiced in the securities, energy and commercial law areas.

Tom Pointer

Tom is a financial and operational executive with experience in sourcing, closing and operating businesses. Tom has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, and often evaluates deal flow opportunities outside of Western Canada.

Prior to joining TOM Capital, Tom held senior financial and operational positions in several sectors, including: manufacturing; oil & gas services; and oil & gas exploration and development, with both private and public companies. Tom has considerable expertise regarding turn-around situations; corporate and debt restructuring; labour negotiations; and asset and share sales.

Paul Sibanda

With extensive financial leadership experience, Paul Sibanda oversees the accounting, finance and tax functions, which include financial reporting, cash management, investment portfolio performance, tax compliance and tax planning. He works closely with TOM Capital’s executive team in developing strategy to drive growth and steward sound financial management of the company as it pursues its short- and long-term financial objectives.

Paul’s career prior to joining TOM Capital, includes over 10 years of progressive leadership roles with various public accounting firms, where he focused on a broad range of industries including oil and gas services, real estate development, technology, investment management, manufacturing and construction services. Paul is a Chartered Professional Accountant.
